Born Into the Culture.
Alex Diaz has been immersed in Hip Hop since childhood. Introduced to breaking by his uncle, Lino Delgado — B-Boy Leanski and co-founder of the Classic Floorlords — he grew into a performer, teacher, and culture bearer with global reach.
By age 11, Alex had already won his first world title. His name, El Niño, reflects the fast, explosive, and unpredictable energy that made him stand out early and kept him at the top for years.
As president of the Classic Floorlords, founded in Boston in 1981, Alex continues a legacy that spans world titles, film credits like Step Up 3D and In The Heights, major sponsorships, and a connection to breaking's historic Olympic debut in Paris 2024.
He does more than compete. He preserves the culture, coaches the next generation, and leads programs through Floorlords Studio in Harvard Square — turning movement into discipline, confidence, and community.
